Who or what is your musical inspiration?
When it comes to music, I am inspired by the 60’s and 70’s Woodstock era bands. Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, The Band. Deep writers, gifted musicians, who know how to collaborate on the fly, bring people together, and deliver a message for the times. To travel and be a part of a larger cultural movement stemming from personal growth is my dream.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I can’t even imagine. We are always thankful for the opportunity to play anywhere for whoever, or how ever many. The added reach from the stage of Global Citizen, and the validation to perform at an esteemed and widely covered event would definitely place us out in the world in a new and bigger way. And our family tribe back home would be so happy and excited to see that and support us even more!
What would you do with $50,000?
Alright. First. I would be personally investing in a traveling rig for me and the band. Something I could live in full-time nomadically while I travel and record my own music, but also carry my friends. Thats the first 15000. 5 Thousand would go to personal savings and expense accounts while on the road. Another thousand for some new gear for recording my next album. which leaves 29,000 to invest on a community property to grow food and give my friends a place to land.
