Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations vary.......Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mayer, and the old blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Freddie King and of course, BB King. The blues is where it all started and my goal is to do whatever I can to help keep that music alive.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a HUGE boost, of course! Just being a part of such a meaningful movement would be amazing, even without the benefit of boosting our career! Helping the less fortunate comes first. I've played benefits to help raise money for many different foundations, either by myself or with my band.
What would you do with $50,000?
That's a tough question, but I think I would start with repaying my parents for everything they've done to support me in this musical journey. Get something cool for my younger brother who has had to take the backseat to all of my music nonsense. With whatever is left over, I think it would be cool to do something like this festival, but on a local level here in TN. I have lots of friends here that would join in to help raise money for the less fortunate here.
