Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have several inspirations. Some of the biggest ones are Mozart and Brian Wilson, for their masterful compositions of melody and harmony. Madonna is my idol, because her art challenged societal norms, and she significantly moved pop culture forward, all while creating BOPS. And finally Rosalía, for her timeless experimentation and ambition to masterfully reinvent the Latin genre.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give me significant exposure for people to hear my music, and for my vision, message, and mission to connect with the audience, and make them ponder the lyrics and the visuals, while also enjoying all of the layers and subtle details in the compositions. I want my audience to connect with my music and my performance, to feel something.
What would you do with $50,000?
INVEST IN MY MUSIC!! I will dedicate this money to recording my music, producing music videos, and marketing my music both on social media and through live performances. Money will go to studio instrumentalists, producers, directors, engineers, graphic designers, and marketers that are there with me throughout the entire process. Specifically, I would work with people that are also starting out and deserve an opportunity to showcase their own art and talents.
