Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Kamasi Washing, and Patrick Bartley. I love them. Jazz and contemporary music is inspiring defying the limits of defining the indominable human spirit. It's incredible what the human is capable of, and it should be shared in music among the arts. How else are we supposed to feel love, comfort, and a sense of home without the arts?
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I'm bottlenecking when it comes to dissemination. I've mostly performed for small crowds, and would like to let my audience around the world know what that I'm doing ok. When performing for a large audience, I can communicate the music without message; I think the message gets in the way of music sometimes. I'd be honored.
What would you do with $50,000?
I'd live a more comfortable life. I wonder what life is like without having to make ends meet and go to college. I'd use the cash prize to participate in competitions around the world.
