Who or what is your musical inspiration?
God, the Bible, human morality, the constant struggle of good vs. evil. Being adopted, trying to understand my own identity and history and how they intertwine. Struggle and overcoming struggle, a lot of my own personal mistakes and reflecting on those mistakes. The wisdom gained from experience and failure and success and books and pursuits and friends and enemies.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would tell people that I have arrived and that my voice and message are deserving of the largest audiences. Ultimately my ability to perform would lead to an awakening of so many people that human consciousness as we know it would be forever altered and my place in history would be firmly cemented. In short, I would actually have a career in music and public speaking.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay off some debt and I would use most of it to produce more music, music videos, and I would probably take a small vacation.
