Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up listening to a myriad of sounds & rhythms music, thanks to my father’s job which took him everywhere around the world. I got more inspiration from Cape Verdean artists such as Cesaria Evóra, Tito Paris & Paulinho Vieira.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing in a world stage would fulfill a deep life dream of being an ambassador for Cape Verdean music much like Cesária Evóra, Tito Paris and others.
What would you do with $50,000?
The $50,000 would be used to help up & coming artists. I would love to build a studio in the island and also have music education much more accessible to many of our artists.
