Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our musical inspiration stems from old and new, smooth and upbeat. We draw from the emotion and groove of artists such as Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, and Giveon. On the other hand, we incorporate the energy and acceleration of artists such as The Backseat Lovers, Khruangbin, and Amy Winehouse. As we merge these sounds, we find a creativity that resonates.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be an extraordinary moment for us, as we pursue our mission to connect with all people. Not only would we have a blast, we would cherish each and every moment of the privilege to share out music with the world. We hope to communicate meaningful messages through our songs, and to build a relationship with the audience that is lasting.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would invest it into doing what we love - connecting with others through our expression of music. We would use the money to cover rehearsal costs, recording costs, production and mixing, ensuring that our art is presented in a way that can make an impact. We would also love to utilize the money to support benefit concerts - unique opportunities to share out music while supporting our local and global communities.
