Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Fela Kuti and Michael Jackson are two of my biggest inspirations. Fela, the king of Afrobeat, made me proud to embrace African music sound and creativity. His originality pushed me to create without fear. Michael, on the other hand, was my childhood icon. I grew up watching him on TV and learning how music can be more than just sound it can be a full experience. From his storytelling music videos like Thriller to his signature dance moves, I learnt-the power of fusing music with entertainment.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As a seasoned entertainer, my biggest challenge over the years has been how to get in front of the right audience to showcase my full range of talent. I strongly believe that American Top Hitmaker will give me the platform to present my craft on a larger and more impactful scale.
What would you do with $50,000?
For the past three years, my North America Afrobeat music and entertainment tour has struggled due to limited funding. With a $50,000 investment, I believe I can finally promote it properly and set the tour on the right path to success.
