Who or what is your musical inspiration?
A Tribe Called Quest, Chance The Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole & Anderson .Paak have been the biggest influences in my musical career. Their authenticity and rawness, being able to mix their topics in songs, instrumental diversity and community impact, are the biggest reasons why I've modeled myself and my sound after theirs. As someone who loves to incorporate love, God & realism into my lyrics, they have been the biggest factors into how I've tried to create my discography around.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be the biggest peformance of my career! I've had the opportunity to perform in several cities around America, but this by far, would be the greatest oppurtunity to date! I've always knew I had the sound, just needed the ears to hear it.
What would you do with $50,000?
It would be beyond a blessing for me! The $50,000 would help me pay off half of my student loans for school and have money saved to buy a new car. Unfortunately, the one that I drive is on its last leg and it's too expensive to fix. I would also send some money to my parents as a thank you for everything that they've done for me in my life!
