Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Grammy award winner Marvin Winans and John P. Kee have been the greatest influence in my adult music experience. They are both agents of change in their genre and have inspired me to be open minded in the progression of music expression. I can hear messages in the sound of jazz, country, classical, and gospel music without lyrics. My endeavor is to produce a sound that speaks to the listener a personal message beyond the message of the performer.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I can imagine that performing at the festival would add days to my life that are filled with creativity and youth renewing energy to perform and affect my listeners with a powerful positive impact.
What would you do with $50,000?
Fifty thousand dollars would give me the chance to invest in my music career on a daily basis so that the work I do would be the labor I love. Making music and helping others to have access to make music and prosper would be my goal.
