Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our front man was very young & found Alice Cooper & Prince. The combination of 2 icons is Dracula on stage. Bassist/co-lead, Mina, learned bass inspired by Patricia Morrison's femme fatale energy. Classically trained as a child, multi-instrumentist/co-lead Carissa Silver is a genre-blending artist. Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock shaped Professor Van Helsing into our lead guitarist. Denied piano as a child, Carmilla got a guitar and never looked back. Dr Frankenstein loves to beat stuff!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Doors would open, and masses of people like us would finally find a musical home like we have found personally in one another. This kind of platform (and a professional sound crew) would allow us to show what we can truly do on stage. We'd also have a larger platform from which to raise awareness and gain support for the charities we already aid like the Dayton Autism Society. Our infectious energy could widespread the fun theatrical macabre we bring to the stage. In short, we'd be able to WORK!
What would you do with $50,000?
Action? Adventure? A Jedi craves not such things! But a rock band like DracMina needs EQUIPMENT! Costumes! Props! A proper lighting tech! Videographer! Management! A road crew! Gas money! Food! Resources! MERCH! Tours cost, and our dream is a proper world tour. We have detailed plans for more elaborate shows. But we're also very frugal about what we can work with, very DIY. We'd stretch that $50K to the limit in order to make it make money for us. We are a solid investment because we work hard!
