Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical music is Lou Reed. When I think of NYC Rock, the first word out of my mouth is Lou. His courage to experiment in new genres of music through time was unmatched—from orchestral composition to electronic vibration from amplified guitars, Lou transformed his music and influenced so many. His lyrics vocally expressed in different modes—from dull, dissonant, and muted monotone to angelic falsettos and hymn-like melodies. Experiencing Lou’s transformations is truly a gift.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Festival would generate massive global awareness for the purpose of DSM, which is the idea of Ga.Ni.Tha. The Osage Native American idea that out of chaos and destruction comes focus and purpose, life adapted and ready to thrive.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would give 25% to global mental illness charities. 25% for DSM. 25% to help pay for children’s education.
