Who or what is your musical inspiration?
First it was Hendrix, and my dad. Now it's my kids and my wife. Musically though: Jimi, Terry Kath of Chicago, Prince, Queen, Black Thought, The Roots, Townes Van Zandt, Joshua Lowery, Aron Glidden, Dave Luxmore, Bobby Caldwell, Ween, and many more.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be amazing. It would affect me personally, which, in my opinion is more important than my career, but it would also launch me into another personal era of creating, writing, sharing, and changing lives. The most important of all reasons, is being a voice for someone who needs to feel seen or heard. Helping humanity. As cheesy as that sounds, it's real, and true.
What would you do with $50,000?
Save my families lives. Probably move to Cambodia and have a real studio to record and make more music with.
