Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical influences are a pretty wide span. I was raised on country and 60's and 70's rock, but then fell in love with 80's influenced pop as I got older. Artists like Taylor Swift, The 1975, LANY, and the textural ethereal influence of bands like Sigur Rose and Coldplay are present in my writing. In production, I'm inspired by producers Jack Antonoff who know how to tickle nostalgia bones in their music while still leaving a unique stamp on it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the 2025 Global Citizen Festival would be an incredible chance to share my music globally, especially as an emerging artist from Canada. The festival’s focus on ending poverty, fighting climate change, and improving education access are causes close to my heart, and I believe I could be the right emerging artist to represent those values and grow my platform while supporting a cause that truly matters.
What would you do with $50,000?
This is a really easy answer for me. I’d put a large portion of it directly back into new music. So many producers, artists, and people have helped me grow as an artist along the way, and I want to keep supporting them as I write and release more music. I’d also put some into touring to connect with new listeners and make global connections. I’d also love to gift some of it to charities that need it and support my parents, who have always been there for me.
