Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I've been writing songs since I moved from Mexico to the US when I was 10. I think there's a fun distinction between references and inspiration. My references would be like if Fletcher, The1975 and Adele had a love child but my og inspiration comes from my Latin roots and Lady Gaga. The romanticism that lives in the Spanish language is a driving force in my lyricism- painting a picture in each song. Lady Gaga's confidence in her artistry acts as an anchor in my timeline and in my music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I love the catalogue I've been building for my songs but I know the magic happens when they come to life. Performing at Global Citizen would give us a chance to show more people the experience our local audiences crave to see. It's an opportunity of a lifetime and I feel as though the only time the opportunity is right for someone is when they're actively ready for it. All the work we've been putting in opens us up to chances like this and I know it would only positively impact our careers.
What would you do with $50,000?
My friends, if I were to be blessed with that amount of money, a big portion of that would go towards my student loans and medical bills. A big inhibitor in investing in my career has been the never ending bills that come my way. I've been able to get by but this money would help me tackle a big hump that I've been dealing with since I slipped and fell in 2022. I'd also give some love to my band. They have believed in me from the jump and aren't in it for the money but for the love of the songs.
