Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m an emotional creator, so my personal experiences and heartbreaks definitely inspire me the most. But stylistically speaking: the film scores of Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and Yann Tiersen, Mariah Carey, Mozart, and a little sprinkling of soul vocals & chord progressions.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Any chance to expand my reach and have my music heard would impact my career - I’ve got the debut album, and a second one in the works, so a platform is the next necessary step. A chance to perform on this stage would be a major catapult: the chance for my voice to connect with an audience, or to meet potential future collaborators, would make a definitive difference in my current landscape.
What would you do with $50,000?
It would afford me time to take a good amount of time off of work to perform more. I could hire visual artists to help create the music videos and animation I want to use for my shows, and could start to put together a full experience for a tour. It would also definitely fund the next album (a dance album!).
