Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is more-so a feeling. I am inspired by so many artists like Sade, Beyonce, Minnie Donna, Sylvia… but the thing they all have in common is the gift of storytelling and the gift to make people feel something so real through the medium of music. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would put me in front of a wider audience and give me the chance to share my art with music lovers like myself. It would bring forth many new opportunities and help me grow as an artist by being in front of a larger crowd. I have never performed at a festival before and its been a milestone of mine forever! It would be a bucket list type of experience for me.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay off a little debt, and fund my career. I have big ideas and need a budget to execute, like pressing vinyl records and CDs. I believe in physical media and want my art to be available i. tangible formats, not just offline. I’d also be able to pay my amazing band, who has been volunteering their skills to help me reach me creative goals. Everything I do is self funded out of my own pocket, I have went broke chasing my dreams. $50,000 would be life changing for me right now!
