Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations are wide-ranging, but the blues is my bedrock. I’m deeply inspired by Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Robert Johnson, Johnny Cash, and Bob Dylan. I also draw from film composers like John Williams and the raw fire of the Rolling Stones. I love folk, outlaw country, gospel, reggae, rockabilly, and jazz, but the blues and the Stones are my main source.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I truly believe performing at the Global Citizen Festival would completely change my life for the better. Performing would amplify my voice on a world stage, aligning my music with purpose and activism. It would connect me with a global audience that values change, deepen my artistic impact, and open doors to collaborations rooted in social good. Sharing that platform with legendary performers would be both a career milestone and a huge personal honor.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I had $50,000 the first thing I'd do is buy the guitar of my dreams! Either that or some new Legos! No, but seriously, I'd use the money to buy the musical gear I need to properly make my debut album. The only reason I haven't completed and released one is due to financial barriers. I'd produce this debut, hiring fellow musicians, then finally press it to vinyl and distribute it, & take it on the road.
