I never aimed to be a hit maker just wanted to create music that was timeless, classic, real, human, etc. Hits are great, but classics!!!!

Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by life in general. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I find beauty in all of it when I look closely. Being able to turn it into music is the gift.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would raise the awareness of who I am as an artist and what I’ve done thus far in my career. It also would help introduce me to a larger audience of people who may never have heard of me before.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would donate a portion of the proceeds to my community and masjid. I would also take my family on a well deserved vacation. We’ve been through a lot this past year. Would be a blessing.
