Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We take inspiration from all sounds that inject life - from Japanese Garage Rock legends Guitar Wolf to NYC Cabaret performer Bridget Everett. The eclectic mix of glitzy rock sounds and existential crises that seeps through the seemingly nonsensical lyrics brings you into sweaty basements that reverberated with the likes of Pure Hell, Vaginal Davis, New York Dolls, and Shonen Knife.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Every time we play, we're greeted off stage by music lovers beaming, "this is the most I've FELT at a show in years" - all of whom who agree we bring stadium energy to any size space. Global Citizens Festival would give us to opportunity to actually bring this electricity to a larger audience who may not usually find themselves where we play. It would hopefully become a huge step that will open us up to building a sustainable career as artists.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would allow us to write and record our next album, as well as fund our first US tour to coincide with the album release. As an indie band, the upfront cost of travel and housing for all five of our members is prohibitively expensive!!
