Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My city of Minneapolis is my main source of inspiration. To think my favorite experiences in life, and the things that shape who I am have always been right outside my front door help remind me to always give back, and represent the community that has selflessly raised me to be and use the voice I have now for the people who have never been given the same opportunities.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the GCF would give me the opportunity to showcase over 10 years of hard work, practice and passion all finally colliding in front of thousands of new friends. To walk off that stage knowing I gave it all for the fans and curators of this event who trusted me and allowed me to add to such a grand event would mean the absolute world to me, and give me the inspiration to apply that same impact in my community.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would love to help invest in my local music scene as well as creating aspiration driven advertisements to inspire my city, and lead a call to action for all creatives in the Midwest to collaborate, and push a progressive, peaceful and artistic movement to provide more free opportunities for the youth to express themselves and also be able to benefit from opportunities like these.
