Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspirations are - Janis Joplin, Lou Ann Barton, Angela Strehli, Koko Taylor, Tina Turner. The women with sass, attitude, grit, guts, high energy and distinctive voices are what I am drawn to and what I try to emulate.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
To get me and my band in front of a big crowd would expose us to new people and open doors for us to get other gigs and possibly tour. The promotional aspect, the networking, the people, the energy - all would be wonderful opportunities to advance.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would buy a new vocal monitor and PA. I would also carve out more time to write songs and record another CD (and get a professional publicist).
