Who or what is your musical inspiration?
In a weird yet comforting full circle kind of way- a good portion of my musical inspiration is my childhood and the music I was surrounded with. I don’t come from a musical or even artistic family but my dad was always listening to music loudly. For some reason those sounds have stuck with me into adulthood. I remember being captivated by them. So much so I found myself in a fantasyland every time music came on. And now whenever I make music, it takes me back to those times. Life inspires
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would change everything and then some. The door for opportunity would be wide open. Even more people would realize how serious, passionate and ambitious I am. My dreams of performing on the big stage would be realized and it would only inspire me even more to go on. It would elevate and in a way, force me to step my game up. It would push me to top that moment. Top it again and again. Seeing the crowd and the stage would not only be career changing, it would be life changing. Makes it real.
What would you do with $50,000?
Treat my closest friends and family (and pets) to a nice meal. Maybe even pay off a bill or two. But after that, it’s down to business. Booking studio time with a professional music engineer. Eventually hire a mastering engineer as well. Invest some more into visuals such as album art and (especially) music videos. Also buying new musical and recording gear would be in the works.
