Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Being from Pittsburgh I’ve always looked up to Mac Miller and his entire comeuppance. The way he’s mentioned by my fellow Yinzers is the level I aspire to get to through my craft. For people to say, “Yooo I went to school with him!” For masses of people to sing my song at once. So that all the ones who didn’t believe in me have something to choke on when they hear Fryman!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would open up the world to who Fryman is and what I’m all about. I want my music to make you move. I want you to get in that mosh pit and rage, regardless if you don’t even know a single word. Put me on that stage and I will make it my mission that everyone there remembers Fryman.
What would you do with $50,000?
First and foremost I’d have to help my mom out with everything she needs. Handouts for my other real loved ones. Get myself a new car, laptop, microphone, etc. . I’d have to put some away to be smart but the rest would all be to invest in myself. Scared money don’t make money and the best bet is always yourself! My dream of making Fryman a household name would just be that much closer given the opportunity.
