Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My master teacher in singing are the Great Ella Fitzgerald. Her voice doesn’t exist any more. I love her energy and grace on stage. Also, Billie Holiday. Her grace. Her songs move me. I cried singing strange fruit.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would greatly impact my life as it’s expected. I watched life styles of the rich and Famous as a child and knew that one day my art would come the world. I love photography as my father was a photographer and a Jet Magazine “Beauty of the Week”, Gerald Oglesby, he past in 2002. He would be proud of me, plus I just bought a home too. Being at the festival will advance my Vortex goals.
What would you do with $50,000?
It would help me go on a dream vacation and get my nonprofit as an affordable housing provider started. Plus the networking that comes with it can truly help me leave my legacy to the world.
