Such a vast array of genres and styles. I love Radiohead/The Smile, Fugazi, billy woods, Kenny Segal, Slint, PJ Harvey, MF Doom, Townes Van Zandt, Destroyer, Mitski, Father John Misty, Big Thief/Adrienne Lenker, CAN, Tears For Fears, Weezer, Built To Spill, Deafheaven, Chat Pile, YHWH Nailgun. The films of Paul Thomas Anderson, Ciro Guerra, David Lynch. Writings of Pynchon, Foster Wallace, Castaneda, James Joyce, Yeshua and Mary Magdalene. So much. On and on. Also, Chat Pile.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Who knows! All I can say is that the opportunity would be a dream and I feel rather certain the audience would unexpectedly see one of the best and most dynamic, fun, but still intense and emotional, performances of their lives. I just might walk on thin air from the sheer excitement.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay off my car, invest a portion into some sort of stock/crypto for my family's future, I would give $10,000 to my mother who supported me when nobody else would, I would carry like $500 in 5's to give people who are asking for help on the street. My dream is to positively impact and work with societal rejects partially through a music platform since I was 3, so I would give in a small way with this but use the rest of it to invest in my art to be able to serve people more long term.
