Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Ed Sheeran has been one of my greatest musical inspirations since I was a kid. Seeing him play at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado where I grew up was a jaw dropping experience; and I knew from that moment forward that was all that I wanted to do. Recently, I've been listening to a lot of classic rock like Dire Straits, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen and well as more modern artists like Sam Fender and The Bleachers. Lana Del Rey has been frequent in the mix as well as Talking Heads and The 1975
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I have been working to build a career out of music for over 6 years now since I moved to LA. I am 24 years old and feel confident that I have found something worth sharing in my work and the story that I want to tell as an artist. I feel that I couldn't be more ready for an opportunity like this, and I think that with the right launching pad, I could win over the whole world with my music. This opportunity means everything to me.
What would you do with $50,000?
I work at a restaurant down the street from my apartment where I make minimum wage. I've never had $50,000 in my bank account, so to say the least it would be life changing! I would use the money entirely to fuel the production of my music, and work as little as I could at my day job so that I can devote everything to my craft! I'm in the process of turning my apartment into a full recording studio and the last thing on my list to get is sound treatment and a very nice tube amp microphone!
