Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I'm most inspired by the music legends who both pushed their genres forward and set a standard for live performance on stage. My short list: Prince, Mariah Carey, Beyonce.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As an artist deeply committed to using music as a force for connection and cultural storytelling, sharing my work on a stage dedicated to global impact aligns perfectly with my mission. The festival’s platform would not only allow me to reach a broader, international audience, but also to stand alongside artists and activists who are shaping a more equitable and compassionate world.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000, I would invest in expanding the reach and impact of my music. This includes producing high-quality visual content to accompany Good Taste, funding international tour logistics to bring my live show to more audiences, and building community-centered events that celebrate Black musical heritage. I’d also invest in independent marketing to grow my platform sustainably and authentically.
