Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Some of my musical influences include The Eagles, Sturgill Simpson, Jude Cole, John Mayer, and Jason Isbell. Music itself is inspirational to me because it allows me to put my soul on display in a way that I hope others can relate to and find comfort in. The idea that someone could connect with my music the way I have with other artists' is what pushes me to make the music I do. Putting something out that could be really special to someone I've never met will always keep me going, making music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would significantly impact my career. Just getting in front of that many people would be such a great benefit. Most importantly, however, the connections I would make with other artists and people involved in the industry in attendance at the festival would be invaluable, and those connections I would be intentional about making would be what permanently changes my career trajectory and gets me that much closer to the artist I want to be.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay $5,000 out to charities focused on hurricane Helene relief in the Appalachian mountains, $10,000 to my nursing school loans, $5,000 for new music equipment, and the remaining $30,000 would be designated to producing an album and purchasing a sprinter van of some kind for touring purposes.
