Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I was inspired to become a musician by my family, especially my mom, whose love for music filled our home day and night. Surrounded by the sounds of legends like Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, and Stevie Wonder, I memorized lyrics before I could truly understand them. Though I was shy, music always called to me. Later, artists like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber fueled my passion, and meeting the right people finally pushed me to chase the dream I always knew was mine.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen would be a game-changer for my career. Coming from a small town where making it out is seen as a fairytale, this platform would prove that dreams are possible. It would amplify my voice globally, allow me to connect with other creatives, and use my music to inspire change. It’s more than a performance, it’s a chance to show others from places like mine that we can make a real impact through our art.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I win the $50,000, I would invest it directly into my craft—funding studio time, high-quality production, music videos, marketing, and touring. I’d also build a home studio to create freely and consistently. This investment would help me grow as an independent artist, reach new audiences, and continue telling my story through music. It’s not just money—it’s a chance to turn passion into a lasting career.
