Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Alexis Munroe & Maggie Lindemann are my main inspirations! I love seeing women thrive, especially in the music scene, and I’m determined to be one of them. I create music as a cathartic release from various past experiences in my life, that most can relate to symbolically, or literally. It is a way for me to connect with people, especially since I grew up shy, and singing still allows me to speak in ways that talking cannot.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It’d be life-changing! The festival would allow my music to reach the ears of people who need it the most. Performing would allow me to thrive in my element on stage, and allow for better opportunities to network— and eventually collaborate with other artists too! Making music and performing brought me out of my comfort zone. This would be the ULTIMATE confirmation that I’m on the right path!
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d love to invest a chunk of it into making music! Better quality equipment for when I record at home, professional studio time, and vocal coaching lessons to improve my vocals even further than they are now! I’d save a major chunk of it as well. Oh, and I might buy some new performing platform boots, for the festival ;).
