Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I'm not sure I can list the diverse artists who have inspired me in 500 characters, but I'll try: Prince, Michael Jackson, Todd Terry, Quentin Harris, DJ Disciple, the entire Motown line up, Glenn Campbell, Michael Franks, Joe Jackson, Hall and Oates, Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, Frank Sinatra, Reo Speedwaggon, Methodman and Redman, Alan Parsons Project
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I never thought of performing live. Like my last entry above, I always thought of myself like The Alan Parsons Project - always musically relevant, but never giving a life performance. 've always thought of myself as a producer / DJ, but my interest in Soft Rock and House Music led me to want to create and have other artists perform my work. With that, I'd love to use the Global Citizen Festival to connect with both Country, Soft Rock, and EDM artists for mutual collaboration.
What would you do with $50,000?
I'd finally be able to become a full time artist by purchasing additional equipment. I'm a filmmaker as well, so I'd use part of the funds to shoot a low budget feature and add my own music to the soundtrack. Of course there are lots of bills to pay, so setting myself up for financial independence is the bottom line to all of the above.
