Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Inspired by the raw vocal & passion of Bruce Springsteen, the bold & defiant screams of Janis Joplin & Tina Turner, it was during Covid Lockdown that I pulled out my book of poetry surrendering it to a talented Italian composer, to discover my art had the ability to release me from my self-imposed prison! The Knights of Italy bring a funky Rock groove! My parents met as opening acts for Louis Armstrong. Formed from the womb, Louis' trumpet inspired me to "blast."
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
By the age of ten, my parents separated and entertainment was removed from our home. My step-dad would not allow singing in "his" house. Life became filled with abuse and I buried my dream!! Then last year I entered the Noi e Springsteen "Cover Me" contest, and won the critics award as well as 2nd place in the "Live" competition. Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would inspire my dream; I just want to sing... and sing! And write songs to sing!!
What would you do with $50,000?
After sharing a portion with the band, I would invest it into my music; tour with the Knights of Italy!! I've 51 wonderful songs that I would love to share with the world!
