Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is myself. I used to never believe in myself to be able to go anywhere with music. My family telling me that my voice was good was my only reassurance, which made me feel as if the world of music was never for me. I thought I would need to live the life of going to school and getting a degree for a job that would never fulfill me. When I did the online open call audition for the TV show The Voice and got a callback,I was shocked. It reminded me that nothing is impossible.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career by showing others my talent, first off. It would showcase not only my voice but my love for music, my passion for music, and the compelling drive I have to make this more than a want for fame. I want my music to impact others. This is my goal and I feel that performing in front of a crowd like this would leave a strong impression on how music is more than just making a hit song. It's about connecting with people through what I love
What would you do with $50,000?
Winning $50,000 would be special on top of being seen. It would not be all that I wanted. I want to impact others, which money would help with things such a the production of my music and recording studio time, which are all the background things others don't see. Overall, I just want to share music that leaves a mark on the world and my fans. The type of music that individuals fall in love with is because it makes them feel so many emotions.
