Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations started with the likes of Elvis, Bob Seger, Mick Jagger due to their powerful presences and voices. When I started writing music I became inspired by John Mayer, Jason Isbell, John Prine, Bob Dylan. Today I find myself combining elements of all of these artists into my music/performance along with newer inspirations like Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan, Hozier, and Role Model.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give me a platform to showcase my passion for music and talent on a larger scale. I’ve been told the best way to experience my music is seeing me perform live, so a large opportunity like this one would mean I could continue to build my fan base on a bigger scale, and create those emotional connections people feel with my lyrics.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000, I would fund my next full length album along with a score of marketing materials to go with it including professional quality live performance videos, eye-catching lyric videos, and a full-on music video for one of the songs. I would also use some of the budget to run promotional campaigns on social media, Spotify, etc.
