Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Drums are my roots to music technically speaking. I can play traditional African drums and have since three or four years old. However, Rihanna is my favorite artist and has been the inspiration behind my experimental approach as an artist. I admire her willingness and ability to explore different sides of who she is whether it's independently or collaborative. And she's BADASS, it's like rockstar s*** you can't explain type.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Tremendously! The exposure alone would allow me to build out a touring career. Going on to receive more festival offers. I'm located in Boston, MA and have been making some regional waves, this would stamp that. An incredible milestone!
What would you do with $50,000?
Honestly I can't say at the moment, I mean I have ideas but I'd immediately be shocked, following that I'd be grateful and then I'd do a lot of thinking. Something like this would really be helpful right now financially, and could be helpful for a tour maybe or a studio. I'd definitely use the money to make a sound investment.
