Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspiration comes from the rich rhythms of Brazil—artists like Elis Regina, Sérgio Mendes , Tom Jobim, Jorge Ben Jor—and the everyday stories of my people. Samba is in my blood, and I fuse it with global sounds to honor my heritage while reaching new hearts.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a dream come true—sharing samba on a global stage, connecting cultures, and amplifying the voice of the Brazilian diaspora through music.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d invest in recording and touring to bring authentic Brazilian samba to more people, support community music programs, and uplift underrepresented voices.
