Who or what is your musical inspiration?
A lot of my musical inspiration comes from the countless stories around me whether it be great Hip-Hop legends like Biz Markie and Mr Cheeks from the Lost Boys who I know personally to other legends like Prince and MJ, Teena Marie, New Edition, OutKast, LL Cool J, Celine Dion, Adele, the Fray, Mary J Blige and countless others past and present.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The world will finally get to see a real American Army Veteran with world songs on the world stage. It’s Destiny’s Trail for me and so many others who were counted out, growing up in poverty, street life, believing that it’s ok to be different and then wanting to make a difference.
What would you do with $50,000?
Heck I give so much money away these days I hardly make a dime but I’m proud of it because in the end we are all going to raise that flag and celebrate our humanity together.
