Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up surrounded by a wide array of music: crooner jazz, disco, funk, and classic rock. My professional training is in jazz studies and classical voice, and I always wrote emo pop songs along the way. My teachers, my favorite records, and my experiences shape my sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at this festival would give me and my band the chance to entertain and hook a massive audience with our engaging energy and powerful sound. Plus our fans are based in NY and NJ, and we love being outside.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest in my artistry: pay my bandmates, book enough studio sessions to finish recording the rest of my album, book photographers, and create a video for each of my songs. Then promotional funds would be put aside. I’d pay myself back for travel and the rest would help me to continue working as an independent artist.
