Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Well, music inspiration for me comes via feelings that you get from listening to music you love or a film you love, or another person. In so far as it inspires me to want to do work musically that has something to offer to others, regarding those kind of life, affirming, loving feelings that we get from good art hopefully. I believe for some people such as myself, it’s vital like an important medicine, and perhaps the older we get as Leonard Cohen said, the deeper the love we seek.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I’m not sure tbh. I believe I’ve put out good music over the years and I’m still very much under the radar and a bit unknown, even though I’ve worked with some more relatively known artists. but hopefully it would lead to working with good people, to do more good work.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d love to help the community in which I’m connected with in Philadelphia to record & release more music. I have a studio which much investment has gone into which I could then donate recording time, and my production time to hopefully help the fertile music scene here in Philadelphia.
