Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We are inspired by people and their resilience, by life and its many colors, and by anyone who does what they do out of joy and love. We love the old punks, the new punks, and anyone who has something to say that brings people together in harmonious community. Within our band we have taken influence from artists like Ani DiFranco, Jack White, The Who, Bob Marley, The Cranberries and many more. Our goal? To make music that lets people scream out their inner storm and let the light in.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would put us in front of our biggest audience ever and bring all kinds of beautiful new people into our fold. Every time we find ourselves in front of a new crowd we get new fans, people who understand what we are saying and why we need people to hear it. Kindness is a raucous necessity and this will help us share that kindness with the largest possible pool of people.
What would you do with $50,000?
Probably go on tour. It's been a dream for a while to play more outside of New York, to explore beyond our bubble and find the communities that'll love us across the country. Basically we want to make friends, play them awesome music, and see some sights while doing it.
