Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I really like and draw from electronic and alternative music, mainly. There are so many nuances of these genres that continually shape Pop music through sound innovation, and as a producer I listen weekly to new music in those genres to see what boundaries are being pushed. I actively apply the past and the present to my music in regards to production and song structure.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a big stepping stone for me to perform my songs in front of a global audience for an important cause. I think now more than ever it is important to take a stand on global issues through mediums where people will listen.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest it into better at-home recording equipment, hiring a professional engineer for mastering, and because I also work in advertising I would use it to get exposure through paid ad mediums. If possible I would also donate some of it to local charities in my home-town of Buffalo, NY. I used to volunteer at the City Mission and know there are people that can use clothing and canned goods.
