Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Thoughts that interest me, media, science, religion. Really anything. I used writing as an outlet for feelings I couldn't put into words, poetry just for myself. Then I discovered true hiphop. Dancing, beatbox, graffiti and rap. Already mediums I was familiar with, but hiphop was the birthplace; a culture of artistry that fulfilled me more than I knew it could at the time. Since then I've been working to evolve to understand and embody the history and culture I fell in love with.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I've always thought of my career in music as an excerise in patience and persistence. I know I will be able to reach my goals when people hear my art. I know I am a global artist. I know there is only one opportunity between me and the life i know i can achieve. This, in no small way, is only a catalyst. A beginning fit for a story that will be told a million times.
