My musical inspirations are artists who use (used) their influence and talent to make a better world, like, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Tupac, Mos Def etc…
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Honestly I don’t know. I’ve never heard of the Global Citizen Festival. I’ve performed on big stages before and it hasn’t done anything for my “career” so now I focus on the art and message and trying to get heard by as many people as possible.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would make more music. And pay some damn bills because being an artist is not easy and it’s not cheap and I have kids to feed and I have this bad habit of not staying quiet for the sake of my “music career” probably why I’m broke and nobody listens to my music.
