Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My grandpa is the musically inclined heart and brain of our family. He’s my biggest inspiration—I create music he’d be proud to listen to. Alongside the strong women who raised me, he taught me the power of soul, resilience, and storytelling, which I carry into every song I write.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be life-changing. I’ve never performed in front of anyone before . Out of fear and self doubt and I pushed that all to the side because God gave me this gift for a reason. Performing on that stage means my voice and story could finally reach the world. It would launch my career into the spotlight and allow me to connect with a global audience, all while standing for something bigger than myself.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d invest in my music and upgrade my home studio with state of the art equipment. I’d also support mental health initiatives for kids, starting with the children’s book series I’m working on right now!
