Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Rick Rubin’s way of thinking is my biggest creative inspiration and has been for years. Artist-wise, the likes of Elliot Smith, Phoebe Bridgers, and Bon Iver, engage my brain in a way that clicks and makes me want to go write something. Whether it’s catchy hooks or weird songs with no formulaic structure, I love and respect good songwriting.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be overwhelming and perspective changing for sure. I’ve been producing and writing for so long and am only now getting into playing in front of people again. It would certainly serve as a fantastic push for me that would easily echo into the rest of my life.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would mean I get to finally put all my day jobs aside and focus on music for awhile, which is my biggest overall goal in general. I just want to focus on writing songs and honing my craft.
