Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My younger self is my musical inspiration. I grew up writing & singing short silly songs, but was picked on by friends and family. I shut the performative part of me away for so many years, so rediscovering the play in music has been a journey back home to self. Artists who push the envelope and define limitless artistry keep me inspired to be my quirky self. Artists like Bob Marley, Björk, Lady Gaga, Lorde, No Doubt.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a breakthrough for me to get the chance to perform in front of such a big crowd. It would not only unlock new levels within myself and my confidence, but would help me further introduce my music to the world. Are you ready for me?
What would you do with $50,000?
I currently am homeless and live in my car following abuse. I have started making music throughout this time and it’s taught me a lot. $50,000 would be used to help support me physically, mentally, emotionally, and creatively. I would invest in EP development, travelling, housing, therapy, and stretch it to accomodate the day to day of a living artist.
