Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Romeo Santos has always been a huge inspiration to me. His fearless evolution of our genre and performances on the world’s biggest stages have shown me what’s possible. His unique style, storytelling, and versatility make him more than just an artist—he’s a pioneer. He’s inspired me to carry that torch forward.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As a woman in this genre, I want to help open doors for the next generation. Especially young women to feel confident, bold, and proud of who they are. I’m all about pushing our music forward and making sure people don’t just hear it, but really feel it. Bachata deserves more love! It needs big stages like Global Citizen Festival with big crowds, for its chance to shine. Bachata is more than just a genre; it’s a meaningful part of our culture and our story.
What would you do with $50,000?
As an artist, I plan to invest the $50,000 into marketing, promotion, and recording new music to keep Bachata alive. This genre is deeply rooted in live instrumentation, which makes producing it both authentic and costly. Supporting real musicians and maintaining the traditional sound is essential to preserving the heart of Bachata, and this funding would allow me to continue creating and sharing music that stays true to its origins.
