Who or what is your musical inspiration?
The beautiful mountainscapes across Wyoming inspire me daily. Working as a horse packer and outdoor guide during the day, my music is inspired by adventure, heartbreak, and the wonderful people I meet along the way. My musical journey really started as a baby in the NICU though, where my grandmother Mary would sing to me. I have been obsessed with music ever since. My songs are inspired by the nuance of suffering and how it makes life more beautiful.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would provide me with exposure that would be difficult to find otherwise. More importantly, it would be rewarding to help in an effort to end poverty. I have always wanted to align my career with a humanitarian cause, and this would be a great step in that direction. Obviously, the opportunity to connect with people and potentially earn new fans would be worthwhile, as well.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest $50,000 into my career. The majority of it would go towards marketing and promotion of upcoming singles. This would help launch my social media and streaming platforms. I would also invest in equipment that would assist my touring. Part of the $50,000 would also go towards my dream of recording an album I have written called "Three Years". Three Years follows the aftermath of heartbreak and process of healing. It is incredibly raw and could help many others heal.
