Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I draw my musical inspirations from my life experiences, the people around me, and the music I like. I was a fan of pop punk, indie rock, classic rock, folk, heavy metal, hip hop, classical, emo, and even rag time. I also love to draw from classical poets too. I try to use every source available to me
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would give hope to a career I'd given up on. I've had a long journey the last 20 years. I went from playing in a stage band for a lesser known music performer, several surgeries, to drug addiction, to most recently, a car accident two years ago that caused a minor TBI, giving me something called Post Concussion Syndrome, seizures, and two ruptured disks in my neck, I just had to have spinal fusion for. This made me realize how fragile life can, sober up, and stop wasting my talent.
What would you do with $50,000?
Invest in my career. Possibly, get new recording equipment, try to find some talent that I may be able to product, because I'm not sure how preforming will go with my seizures. I miss the stage fiercely, but I'm learning to adapt, and one of those ways is learning that maybe I'm not made for the spotlight, maybe I'm made to help others find it. And I would help my mother, who has always been my biggest fan, with her medical bills. And I would try to save my Grandmother's home.
